Life is so unfair. He was so excited about this election.

2. If they all have on-line feeds, I'd prefer PBS.
If not, I'll take what I can get.

5. I am worried
I have a friend with homeland security and they are spooling up for security for the Dem convention but don't think they will have to do so for the RNC. It makes you wonder.

6. Hey, Asher...good question!
Edited on Sun Aug-03-08 04:35 PM by Glorfindel
When I was your age, I was incredibly excited by the 1960 presidential race. I was a BIG John F. Kennedy supporter, and so were my parents and my grandfather. We watched the conventions on NBC, which provided gavel-to-gavel coverage back then, with Chet Huntley and David Brinkley as anchors. The conventions were much more exciting in those days. I probably will check in on MSNBC periodically during this year's Democratic National Convention and keep up with the running commentary on DU. Like you, I'm a great supporter of Obama, and I hope and pray that he wins in November by an even bigger margin than Kennedy had in 1960.

9. I will only watch...
...a network that actually reports news AND covers what is going on inside. If all they do is sit outside and gab...that's not coverage to me. :)

...of them. In 2008, I'll have to wait and see if there is any actual news reporting done.

12. PBS. I don't watch network news.
I don't usually watch anything that passes for talk/news on PBS, either, but I'll watch the convention.
