Poll question: What would you expect authorities to do in this case:
A therapist comes in and reports to authorities that she has a patient who has long held homicidal tendencies. He now feels threatened, has accumulated weapons and a bullet proof vest, and has told her in the presence of others that he intends to go out in a blaze of glory. Oh, and by the way, he has access to anthrax and who the hell knows what other kinds of bio-weapons.

Given this information, the authorities should

3. This is after the authorities have spent three years harassing the suspect, right?
And the fact that the suspect has access to anthrax but has no ability to weaponize it makes no difference, right?

The correct answer is to keep the subject under constant, armed surveillance and begin any necessary paperwork or court proceedings with all due expedited haste.
