Wall Street Journal Reporter Invents "Is Obama Too Skinny" Issue out of Wholecloth
Perhaps the funniest discovery in the Liberal Blogosphere since that idiot got busted posting a picture of Istanbul and calling it Baghdad, we find out today that uber-imbecile Amy Chozick gets her quotes for the "Is Obama Too Skinny" article directly from a Yahoo Message Board thread that she started. Here's the dumbfuck article, repeated on several MSM stations throughout the day, with frowns about Obama's in-shapeness, and concerns that it may "alienate" our severely obese electorate: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB121755336096303089.html?mod=hpp_us_inside_today

Here's the discovery of her thread, and more on her article's laughable methodology

from Sadly, No!: http://www.sadlyno.com/archives/10322.html
from No More Mr Nice Blog: http://nomoremister.blogspot.com/2008/08/rove-street-journal-hey-amy-chozick-of.html

Curiously, the only respondent who agreed with her asinine premise was created the very day she asked the question, certainly a minor issue that the Wall Street Journal may want to take up, given the disastrous scandals involving made-up sources, and the way these things can so spiral out of control if not nipped in the bud.

Naught naughty, Amy Chozick.

2. Aside from journalistic ethics and even a modicum of seriousness,
what Ms Chozick clearly lacks any sense of proportion.

In evidence, I point to the fact that she, with an apparent straight face, referred to the "cheesesteak debacle" during the Kerry campaign.

Jesus wept.

would get her ass laughed off Livejournal. Pretty sad for the WSJ.

Re: the "issue": newsflash: some people are naturally lanky. It does NOT mean there's something wrong with them. It's a body type, nothing more or less.

22. Ms. Chozik: also fighting the "Fancy-pantsification of America"!
Edited on Sat Aug-02-08 10:12 AM by checks-n-balances
Thank God she's looking out for all of us!

And :applause: to you, CW, for "The Skinny" on this patriot's noble work to expose "how this secret threat to America's well-being portends a dark and elitist future!"
:yourock:

Perhaps the too-fit, not-flabby-enough candidate should begin flirting with obesity by:
1. laying off the exercise,

2. eschewing these vitamin-ridden, underprocessed, un-American foods or beverages, and

3. increasing his intake of 7-Meat Chili, High Fructose Corn Syrup and other more patriotic foods from the Wikiality.com Menu.

On a related note, I also alert all DUers to this Wikiality page. In its own entertaining way, it unashamedly names names of at least 63 entities involved in this related insidious destructive plot:

http://www.wikiality.com/Category:Fancy-pantsification_of_America

I had NO idea!!!
:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Edited to add valuable Wikiality research results

It's not that fat, but probably a little fatter than usual, since I travel with the Obama campaign and it's hard to eat right on the campaign trail.

36. Arugula...for those whom are not aware.

Arugula is mainly used as a salad green. It has an assertive, pungent, spicy, peppery, somewhat nutty flavor somewhat reminiscent of radish or horseradish. It is an annual herb, grown for its mustard-like leaves. Use it to add zing to salads and stir-fry dishes when the leaves are tender and young, and to add a tang to potato salads.

"Much virtue in herbs, little in men."

37. It also literally grows like a weed, which it probably is in some places....
I got some in a 6-pack of other herbs (sage, parsley, etc) all of which grew abundantly. When the arugula went to seed I planted those, and they also flourished. Some of the seeds "escaped" into the rest of the lawn... I love this stuff. There's nothing elitist about a weed, even if someone gentrifies it with balsamic vinegar.

20. What is scarier, is that someone knows exactly how to get to the right people,
because this superficial bullshit works on them. Guys, I've been trying to tell you that the people we're fighting against, are a very two-faced people. They will say all kinds of racist bullshit, nothing is too superficial to them. That's why minorities will always fail if they are dependent on them for success. Because their words of praise will only be met at some point with more criticism to take back all the good they said.

And now they're morphing, the ones in their 50s on down. They will spew Rush Limbaugh bullshit, then they donate to Darfur.

He is one of the minority of people at a normal healthy weight in this country of the overweight and obese. Kudos to him for not giving in to the pressures to overeat a bunch of junk.

McCain is fat, by the way.

21. WSJ journalism: rated the lowest possible, on the Yahoo Message Boards
That really does show how full of shit the whole thing is: 2 weeks ago, when Chozick made her first fishing expedition, a Yahoo message board, the home of talking crap, rated the idea the lowest possible. And so the WSJ subsequently publishes it.

The astute voter she quotes -- the only respondent who actually agreed with Chozick's premise -- is an upstanding citizen who calls herself onlinebeerbellygirl. Her response in full:

Yes I think He is to skinny to be President.Hillary has a potbelly and chuckybutt I'd of Voted for Her.I won't vote for any beanpole guy.

I haven't been to a gym in years and am relatively sedentary. My daily exercise is the 3-football-fields walk from the parking lot to the office and back.

I used to be so skinny the doctor wanted me to double my body weight (this was a few decades ago).

Obama is NOT skinny.
