To me it will mean the country doesn't care about our involvement in Iraq, doesn't care about healthcare, social security, the environment, jobs, civil rights, the right to privacy, and believes that the policies of the past 8 years were ok

For me it will mean there will be no more excuses for the stupidity of the American people. They have already made two major mistakes in 2000 and 2004. If they haven't learned by now in 2008, they deserve the consequences of their stupidity

5. Then I will continue to be a viable part of the process
mccain would mean a destruction of that process

2. If McCain (or whomever the R runs) wins, it's because they stole it.
It's not the people, it's the people behind the boxes we vote with.

6. I am not sure, the issues have never been clearer. Do they want an
extension of bush through mccain, or not?

17. They who?
Like I said, it's not the people if McCain wins, just like it wasn't the people when Bush won. Don't think for a second that the machine won't try stealing it again this time. They can't afford any Dem, Obama or otherwise, getting into office.

22. Of course Congress will do nothing.
Just like they did last time. All the smoking guns we had then and we have now, yet...nothing.

Compliance.

3. There'll be riots or worse if he wins
I'm not optimistic about the future of this country if he wins.

11. I am extremely pesimistic if mccain wins, because I think the republic
will be over

I don't believe the riots will occur as you say

I also believe that Obama WILL win, so all of this is just my frustration at the idiots from the MSM trying to imply something else

The good news is the MSM doesn't have a very good record

of corruption ever to be trusted again. I know McGoo can't win on his own merits. I know most people are beyond that blind racism that prevents them from considering a man with a black father and a white upbringing.

If McGoo is ushered into office, it will be by voter suppression, rigged machines, hidden absentee ballots, and corrupt state officials. This country will then be lost unless there is a new revolution.

I am far too old and ill to be part of a new revolution.

All most people care about is their immediate sugar intake.

10. If we pick up seats in both houses and Mccain wins we'll know what they did.
so for them to be smart they'll have to rig a lot of elections.

18. Problem I have is that I don't have the confidence that Congress would
do the right thing if a mccain was president

mccain has already told us the kind of judges he would appoint

Congress has not distinguished itself the past eight years with mccain's mentor

25. not much...
why?

do you think it's exaggerated that this country -- as we know it -- may not withstand 4 to 8 more years of republican rule? look at the fall of the Soviet Union; mainly because of their unending war in Afghanistan.
