Air pollution - the gift that keeps on giving.
I have one cousin dead of throat cancer at age 56 and his brother just had a stroke at the same age. They were both smokers, so yeah there were some personal risk factors. I have to wonder though, whether the fact that they were born and raised in Youngstown back when the sky was orange and the river black had anything to do with this. People are shaking their heads at the images coming out of Beijing, but it wasn't so long ago that many American cities were as bad or worse. I'm not sure where I'm going with this, but we should stop and take note that we jhave made some progress. Don't give up the fight!
