Republican nutjob Jon Voight makes his Washington Times debut!
That bastion of journalistic integrity newspaper owned by the Moonies, the Washington Times, has printed an op-ed by Academy Award–winning actor and former Rudy Giuliani supporter Jon "My Daughter Hates Me Almost as Much as I Hate Barack Obama" Voight.
Reading it, we were pretty certain the guy who hasn't been in a good film since 1978's "Coming Home" didn't exactly lay out everything on his mind. Thankfully, an anonymous Washington Times employee gave us a copy of Voight's own marked up version.

1. No wonder Angelina has nothing to do with him.
Her beauty isn't skin deep.

10. fwiw, angelina aint exactly left wing either
she's an independent.

she's spoken positively of the surge, and is actually a rather iconoclastic figure.

Writing bitter things in a bitter way. Probably a Ron Silver mind control drone.

4. Good Grief.
I'm not much of an Angelina Jolie fan but after reading that I can understand how she remains distant from her father.

6. I always felt Voight had an edge to him.
Now I know why. He should have kept his trap shut.

He is one angry nut job.

Another McCain clone.

7. hey, Jon . . . George Costanza bought your car . . .
that's about as relevant as what you have to say in your little diatribe . . . stick to acting -- or whatever the hell it is you do these days . . .

8. Wes Clark has more "hero" in his pinky finger than McSame will ever have.
"Gen. Wesley Clark, who himself has shame upon him, having been relieved of his command..."

What a moran...Clark was forced into retirement. I guess we can say that Voight has brought shame upon himself, having been relieved of any major acting parts.

11. angelina
is not a democrat. iirc, they don't speak (or at least weren't speaking), but don't assume angelina is on the left.

she isn't.

she's an independant, and would be hard to classify (at least from what i've read of her various positions) as left or right wing.

she's somewhat eclectic, and clearly an independent thinker.

12. children are "programmed"? Teachers "program" children?
That's just sick.

"importance of our teachers who teach and program our children"

and what the hell are "good-thinking" children? Most children I know are barely civilized (not that there's anything wrong with that!)!

13. I seem to remember him being deeply involved in American Indian rights ....
Edited on Thu Jul-31-08 01:24 PM by hadrons
and I also seem to remember that they (leaders of the American Indian rights movement) were pissed at him for making some bizarre statements at some press conference with them. He seem to back away from activism after that ... I guess maybe "the left" hurt his feelings
