Jeff Koopersmith eviscerates Michelle Malkin for her unsubtle "dog whistle" racist language
Talk about a smackdown...
Ms. Malkin wants you to believe that Michelle and Barack Obama “hawk” (read: “pimp”) their children to televisions gossip shows. She proves this by telling us about the television shows that Malkin ogles – Access Hollywood, surely up for a Nobel Prize for instance, where I guess she saw the usual video clips of the Obamas.

...

Malkin then name calls Michelle Obama, who is not running for anything as I recall.

She says Mrs. Obama is “cunning” (read: sly, wily, crafty, sneaky, “shiftless negro”). “Cunning”? Hey, I thought that one was reserved for Asians during World War II. Get this: Malkin thinks that Michelle Obama is “cunning” because she “brags” (AKA: boaster, blowhard, crow, “uppity negro”) about buying her sundresses at a discount store. Not only that, but Mrs. Obama does this with “studied casualness” (read: “lazy negro”).

Ask yourself: what Malkin is up to?
Worth a read in its entirety.

1. No surprise from the woman who cheerleads the roundup of Japanese during WWII.....
.... She's a real .... something.

2. as I always say ...
I wonder if she would have been for the roundup (and confiscation of property, and likely rape) if she was a teenager in 1942 during the panic ... I somehow don't believe that the people doing the rounding up would have made the distinction of her not being "Japanese" ...

3. The deep-seated hatred in her soul is breathtaking...
... and it wouldn't surprise me that she was so prejudiced against non-Anglos and non-Filipinos that she was oblivious to the choice of not-so-subtle racially-charged pejoratives, so deeply ingrained is her irrational loathing.

4. That's a bit of a stretch
Cunning = shiftless negro, casual = lazy negro. Come on. Not every criticism levied against a person who just so happens to be black is a sign of some subtle racism.

I'm a big fan of criticizing people for what they say, if I disagree with it of course. But I have a major problem with people (doesn't matter what end of the political spectrum) putting words in their opponents mouths then attacking them for something they never said.

The definition of cunning, studied, and casualness have nothing to do with race. I don't see any reason to redefine them for Ms. Malkin.

5. So who think the Obamas are cunning and casual?
How about uppity?

10. You think the definition of cunning and casual is
"I hate uppity negros"? How about some proof.

Perhaps you could come up with a list of seemingly innocuous adjectives that are in fact horrible racist epithets against blacks.

Example: Me: Obama is well educated
You: Educated? Educated?!?!? Are you saying that most blacks are incapable of learning? That it's only remarkable that he went to college because he's black and you don't believe blacks should be allowed an education? Like back when they were SLAVES!
Me: Huh?
You: Yeah that's right! I see through your little scheme, you're essentially saying that he's a shiftless lazy negro and should get back to the plantation. Don't try your nefarious code words on me, I can see right through you!
Me: What the hell just happened?

6. She Shows The Intellectual Bankruptcy of the Right
Her, Coulter, Billo, Sean, Rush, Ingram, Beck, et al., these are not bright people in the least, and their audience is diminishing. Young people, the future of this nation, don't relate to them nor their bullshit. Young people see their future being robbed with massive debt, unaffordable housing, and a job market that offers crappy jobs at best. They're not buying the mantra, "vote for tax cuts because you too will be rich someday".

8. Certainly not defending Michelle Malkin here,
because, to paraphrase Lewis Black, she is "stone-cold-fuck-nuts," but claiming that words like "cunning," "braggging" and "studied casualness" are veiled racial epithets is really stretching it.

12. So true
And it's particularly worrisome because it takes the focus away from actual racism and makes the entire thing seem rather silly.

A conspiracy minded person might say that's what some of these people have in mind when they make such a stink over nothing. I think it's just well meaning people who have gotten a bit fanatical.
