They even cracked the lineup of the Top 15 Greenest Athletes list last year.
So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the team’s cheerleaders are getting in on the Green love. This month the Eagles Cheerleaders became the first professional cheerleading organization to produce an environmental-themed calendar (printed on post-consumer recycled paper, of course).
The self-styled “eco-sexy” calendar features the cheerleaders wearing bikinis made from organic cotton and recycled plastic soda bottles, while all of the jewelry and accessories, we’re told, are made from natural materials and recycled products: CDs, clothes hangers, computer chips, glass … even cable wire and aluminum.
Of course, when we first heard about the calendar we just had to see what all the fuss was about, and the Eagles organization was kind enough to oblige us with the following sneak peek of the calendar.
We think you’ll agree: Doing good by the planet never looked this good.
