About a dozen members of an anti-illegal immigration group gathered Wednesday in front of San Francisco City Hall to call for the mayor's resignation over the city's sanctuary policy.

But the protesters from the Minuteman Project were drowned out by the nearly 200 counter-protesters yelling, "Go home, racists."

The Southern California-based group came to protest the city's policy of not turning over undocumented immigrants to federal authorities.

Self-righteousness is more like a prickly heat than a disease. Not very deep, just really visible. :)

4. Hmm... from what I've seen, the need to be right

can trump any other need in many people at a certain stage of development. Even the most basic need for self-preservation. I'd say that's a mental/emotional condition that can be extremely hazardous for man and beast.
