RE: New anti Obama ad. Are you ALLOWED to use the pic of a celebrity
in an ad without their permission? I heard KO talking about Britany Spears being against that anti Obama ad, and I wondered if Britany can go after the Pubs for using her pictures without her expressed permission?

1. It's not her decision, really
Now, if they used a photo from People magazine or something w/o permission, People Magazine could go after them, but Britney doesn't "own" paparazzi photos.

5. I realize she doesn't own the papatazzi pics, but putting her image
in that add at least insinuates that she supports McNuts. I would have thought they wouldn't be able to do that without her OK.

2. Britney already filed a complaint with McBush's campaign
See, she's not so dopey.

4. I would be interested in knowing that as well.
I am under the believe that you can not use the image of a public figure without their permission. I would love to see Spears and Hilton file a law suit against McCain. Now that would be rich!

6. Racist ad!
I think it is pitched in part to get visceral reactions from the sort who get riled up by any association of non-white men with blond women (even blond women they consider trashy).

7. Good point! As if to say "would you vote for a guy who hangs with this kind of trash?"

8. False advertising in a political ad? Or slander?

Seems not, but seems it is done all the time.
