I called the IRS Stimulus Check hotline this morning.
After sifting through the various recordings "Press 2 if you're...", I finally got to the point where you might actually talk to a live flesh-and-blood person. I was warned that this conversation might be recorded.
Fine.

After 3 or 4 rings, I got another recording.
"Due to the volume of calls on this subject we will be unable to...blah-blah-blah. Please try again later OR ON ANOTHER DAY."
