Stern on XM/Sirius Merger: 'I Will Never Vote For a Democrat Again'

Sirius Satellite Radio host Howard Stern supports the merger of his network with XM Satelitte Radio and is fuming at Democratic opposition on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) panel.

1. Being a Stern fan,

I know that that's just another example of his hyperbole.

He's just frustrated over the merger. He is quite vocal about being pro-choice and pro-gay rights, hates the idea of the Iraq war, and despises the current administration. As is well known, he also harbors a deep-seeded hatred for the FCC.

The fact that this article takes what he says seriously is kind of sad.

6. The only big picture Stern sees...
...is the picture that has him front and center. Same as it ever was.

3. I know this will surprise many people, but occasionally, Howard Stern can be a douchebag.
A great, big, self-centered, self-obsessed, self-important douchebag.

10. Ooh, that hurts. That hurts a lot.
Coming from a guy who once ran for governor of NY State on the Libertarian ticket. I shit you not:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Howard_Stern#Adult_life

In 1994, Stern ran for Governor of New York as a libertarian. The campaign was generally seen as a political stunt and Stern dropped out before the election after refusing to disclose his finances, a requirement by the State of New York.
