So Obama is establishing a transition team. MSNBC is playing this
as being VERY presumptive, and way too early! They say it's showing arrogance of inevitability!

I disagree with that assessment! There's SOOOOO much WRONG in the Fed. Gov't that's been nearly destroyed by Shrubco, any Dem replacement should have started a transition teem A YEAR AGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't think there's even ONE person that is in a management position in any Dept. who could possibly keep their job!

1. I think this is fantastic news! Obama is going to have to hit the ground running,
and be prepared for ambushes along the way!

2. A transition team?
If he truly is establishing a Presidential transition team, the media might actually have a point.

9. Do you realize how many positions have to be replaced
immediately? We're not talking about just new cabinet spots, and take care of the rest later. Think about it. EVERY Dept is screwed up! FDA, DOJ, FCC, Homeland Security...........I can't think of one single Dept. where things are functioning passibly and could wait for improvements! To find THAT many good people takes a LOT OF TIME!

11. No, both candidates better be doing that
You don't actually think that an admin transition happens exclusively between November and January do you?

There's too damn much work to do.

4. He SHOULD be assembling a transistion team.
This is perfectly right. In fact, he should be vetting Cabinet choices, plus members of the White House staff.

take ages to get in order. Much to do before one is ready on day one....

he's president, and have replacements ready to go.

What is wrong with that?

12. It's called "ready on day one."
If the MSM learned somehow that he wasn't preparing a transition team, they'd be questioning his ability to be ready to lead, his preparedness, etc, etc.

What the reTHUGs and the MSM are trying to do is box Obama into a "damned if he does and damned if he doesn't" kind of corner -- but he's too smart for them.

He's ready to go -- on DAY ONE!

GObama! :patriot: GObama!
