13. I am familiar with it.
I have just never seen anyone blame the British for this mess, and certainly not using the Sykes-Picot Agreement has a premise for blame.

14. In all seriousness I think the stage for the present conflict was set in the early 20th century
Artifical countries were created with little or no regard for long-standing cultural and ethnic conflicts.

The involvement of Western nations in the region has always been about oil, from the very beginning. Getting off of the stuff and getting out is the best thing we could do. Let the people there hash it out among themselves.
