3. Thanks for posting that. It was great to see it again.

The Beatles were such an important part of my young life from when I first heard them when I was in the 6th grade all the way through high school. Music is like a time machine that can take you back to the moment when you first heard a song.

You know, I've seen this many times and now I really wonder if it was actually live or lip-synched because when Paul plays the piano, even on the close ups of his hands, I cannot see the keys go down. I also think at this time that none of them had a lot of confidence in their musical ability to perform live. There is such a moment though about 1:25 in when Paul plays the four notes on the piano: do, do, do--do and there is a close up of his hands that you cannot see the keys go down. No matter what, it was a great moment in musical history and even now when Paul does the song in concert you can see even guys in their 50s crying as they sing along and I can understand the feeling.

I think "Hey Jude" is Paul's best song, and it represents a big part of that year. But the flip side of the 45 is outstanding, too. It's one of John's most important songs. I like the two, together.
