The other day, my hubby had surgery (it wen't fine, btw),
and I thought the hardest part would be the waiting in the waiting room waiting for news. In a way, I was completely right but not in the way I thought. They had one of the clone news stations on (not Faux but they all meld these days into a blob of uselessness) and suddenly there was this special report and then the moran monkey came to the podium and began to fling poo at the Democratic party (He called it the Democrat Party, of course) over this and that. I didn't realize how allergic I have become to him. I realized that the only way I could have any fun watching him was with a bottle of vodka and a bingo board, neither of which I had. I stayed about five minutes and as I left that hellish room, I thought to myself, "Hmmm, that was neither special nor reporting.".

2. I can't remember if I learned that trick here or at Rude Pundit, but , aside from
the damage to my liver, it's really the only way I can tolerate listening to him anymore. Not that I ever listened to him except to mock him but now, I can't even manage that. He's just too stupid.

3. Yeah, he's doing so well,
when my other hubby gets back from Canada tonight, I think I shall give over the caregiving reigns and take an extra shift at work. I'm very pleased at how well he is doing.

8. Mmmm hmmm
I don't worry about keeping my life secret here, but at work I keep it, um, discrete. Last night I almost blew it because I told them about my hubby having surgery and then, when I found out I was going to get to go home early, I almost blurted out, "Wonderful, my hubby is coming home from Canada tonight!". That would have been hard to explain. Few people at work realize that when I refer to my hubby, it could be one of two. It's pretty amazing what people will assume. I started calling them hubbies, though, when we moved to Washington because here, calling one's partner "partner" seems to mean homosexual partner and I didn't want to confuse anyone (more than necessary).

5. Even the booze and the bingo don't work for me any more
I'm sorry you had to endure that at a difficult time. (Glad the hubby's okay.)

7. It is very difficult for me when I see him on TV in public
As I have a reflexive response involving a digit. I nearly sprain something suppressing it.

9. Yup, I have that problem with the Bush/Cheney stickers too.
I've had less of a problem with that lately. Far fewer of those stickers seem to be floating around these days and I haven't seen a single McCain one. I did almost flip off a person who had a Cheney/Satan 08 sticker. It was a dead ringer until I got close enough.

10. I thought I saw a McCain sticker the other day
But when I got close it said, "Vote McCain for Bush's Third Term."
