The duplicity of a right-wing community.
Edited on Wed Jul-16-08 01:09 PM by The Backlash Cometh
The only thing worse than a party partisan, is a chameleon that will say or do whatever he has to, to keep his stature in the community. The latest example that my once "take no prisoners" and "rape the community" neighbors are recognizing the coming Democratic influence, is that they're sending in the HOA newsletter an appeal to downsize your global footprint. These are people who laughed at Gore back in 2000.

The funniest example that they don't get it, is the guy who built a massive house, way too big for his lot, concreted just about every inch of available space, and now he's appealing to his neighbors to decrease their global footprint.

Maybe I'm just beginning to appreciate the irony?

1. The irony in their actions is so think it's beyond laughable
It's suffocating.

The right wing fundies spend BILLIONS to make trivial things illegal, while people that money could have benefited starve.

Very "Christian" of them.

2. I don't think they understand what happens once trust is gone.
They don't get it. They think it's that easy to continue being a community leader, doing whatever they want behind closed doors, expecting countless numbers of do-overs. That's why I refuse to concede to them and forgive before we really know the full scope of what they did. They believe they're entitled to all their indiscretions, and meanwhile, they'll never stop trashing everyone else's lifestyles.

4. The truth is that they don't care
We're non-people to them- "traitors" is about the best we get.

Where in their book do they have to treat non-people as equals?

Therefore, suspect all actions from them and forgive none- after all, if it isn't stupidity, it's deliberate.

5. It must be a bitch holding onto the reigns of leadership.
Eventually, your private world will clash with your attempt to manipulate the public. That's what happens when you think that arrogance and wealth are synonymous with leadership qualities.
