Rep Kucinich did another "Resolution of Impeachment' against George Bush II...and it was Read on
the Floor of the US House of Represenatatives. It was detailed with sources.

The reason I tuned into C-Span was that it was reported earlier that "Debate" over Rep. Kuncinich's "Article of Impeachment" would be DEBATED.

By the time the "Resolution" got to the floor...Nancy/Hoyer had "cut off debate" and told Dennis that his bill would ONCE AGAIN..go to John Conyers! What happened that C-Span would report that there would be "Debate" on his Resolution...but once again...at the last minute...it was SHUT DOWN BY PELOSI/HOYER.

I listened to two "Clerks of the House" read out Dennis Kucinich's detailed and well sourced Resolution about why Bush should be IMPEACHED for Invading Iraq. Tears streamed down my face as the Clerks read of step by step how Bush got us into invading Iraq and all the EVIDENCE (sourced and documented) from Colin Powell and others as to WHY SADDAM WAS NOT A THREAT TO THE US!

Still, we invaded.

When it came time for the "Resolution" by Rep. Kucinich to be debated...he stepped up and said: "I recommend that this go to the House Judiciary Committee.

What happened? C-Span reported there would be DEBATE on Kucinich's THIRD "Privileged" RESOLUTION...but at the "last minute" the House Leadership (Pelosi/Hoyer) did another FAKE OUT and told Dennis to get up and say it had to go to "Conyers Judicial Committee."

How many RESOLUTIONS does Kucinich have to DO to get a DEBATE? Is this all just a SCAM?

1. They'll never let him get it on the floor for a REAL old-fashioned debate.
Pelosi/Hoyer are out looking to protect whatever power the Democratic Party will amass after 2008 if any. Impeachment in their eyes is too much of a risk. They want to protect their power, not risk it. Political parties, invariably, exist to win power. Sometimes that's not the same as the interests of the people.

2. It says to me ...that WE are being GAMED....that's all I can think...
I went over to Swanson's site...and they didn't even have Kucinich's "Resolution" listed.

Maybe they didn't get to it...Maybe they were watching like me and were so upset they couldn't post.

I'm SICK TO HELL of being GAMED. :-(

It's Impeachment Time

* Activism
* Impeachment

All of your hard work in pressuring Congress is not for naught. After over two years of declaring impeachment "off the table" Speaker Nancy Pelosi has declared it at least halfway on the table, and specifically for the offense of misleading the nation into an unnecessary war. House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers is likely to hold a preliminary hearing on the case for impeachment, with Congressman Dennis Kucinich presenting his arguments. But the clock is ticking. Please call Pelosi and Conyers and thank them for taking this step and ask them WHEN the hearing will happen.

Pelosi: (202) 225-0100
Conyers: (202) 225-5126

Then please contact YOUR representative as well and ask them to sign onto Kucinich's impeachment resolutions, sign onto Congressman Robert Wexler's letter to Conyers urging impeachment hearings, and most importantly: introduce their own resolution! In 1973 nearly 90 Congress Members introduced their own resolutions to impeach Nixon. Most of them were just a couple of sentences urging the commencement of impeachment hearings. A similar resolution was instrumental in removing Alberto Gonzales from office.

Capitol Hill Switchboard: (202) 224-3121

Dear Chief Prosecutor,

Congratulations on your request for an arrest warrant for the president of Sudan. When the rule of law cannot be justly enforced within a nation, it must be enforced internationally. In that regard, I would like to recommend that you seek an arrest warrant for the president of my nation, the United States of America. I have read your letter of February 9, 2006, in which you decline to seek prosecution of George W. Bush, and I believe new evidence compels another review.
