I originally posted this in a response to the thread about *'s "no disregard for human life" gaffe. But I think the big story is what he said afterward, so I'm making it an OP of its own.

This is a paste from the White House site; the bold formatting is mine:

Secondly, there is a tough enemy, and they're brutal, and they kill at the drop of a hat in order to affect behavior. It's a little bit reminiscent of what was taking place in Iraq a couple of years ago, where the enemy knows that they can affect the mentality of the American people if they just continue to kill innocent folks. And they have no disregard for human life. And it's really important we succeed there, as well as in Iraq. We do not want the enemy to have safe haven. Of course -- unless, of course, your attitude is, this isn't a war. So if that's the case, it wouldn't matter whether we succeed or not.

But it is a two-front war. And I say there's other fronts, but there's other fronts where we're taking covert actions, for example.

4. Don't they have editors? Proofreaders? It's not that hard, folks!
How much do we pay these morons to write this crap? Too much, that's for sure.

6. I'm sure they do, which is why I grabbed a PDF of the website before they scrub that sentence.

I doubt it was written by a speechwriter. I think it was a small bit of truth struggling to free itself from the festering mire of putrescence that is his brain.

I am sure nobody meant for him to say it.

10. The POSPOTUS admitted on national TV that we're doing covert ops. This is why it's important.
Edited on Wed Jul-16-08 03:10 AM by WritersBlock

At least I think it is. For two reasons:

First off, I have no doubt that Iran is the major focus of those ops, and that they're part of the administration's ongoing efforts to take us into yet another war for oil. He's basically just admitted we're already secretly attacking someone, somewhere. Yeah, I know; we've had covert ops throughout history. But this is the first time a squatting pResident has bragged about it in public as far as I know.

Secondly, assuming there was a justifiable reason for doing them (and I won't go into the argument of whether they're right or wrong; point is they're already there), then didn't dimson just put those operatives at risk, and thereby put national security at risk?

Sorta like, oh, I dunno... outing a CIA operative for political gain?

13. Iran perhaps?
This would be a fun guessing game if it weren't so horrifying. * has always had sort of an evil Tourette's syndrome, truths slip out in between him projecting his own darkness onto all his imaginary enemies (and by so doing has created enemies!!)
His worst nightmare has arrived, most people are on to him.
