I'm listening to MSNBC now, havent had cable in 4 years, wow!

I tuned into the Rachael Maddow show and apparently they are playing the live audio from MSNBC.

Maybe its because I havent watched any of that stuff in years... but this is just jaw dropping.

Its all over-hyped, inside the beltway cw ... crap.

Done in a real fast paced way.. throw in some sports news program type music, and when you listen to the crap they are talking about... its just total bullshit.

In the first 15 minutes, they have made 4 points that i know for sure are total lies.

They started off with how the New Yorker cover will affect Obama.. and the analysis (if you can call it that) was just barking crazy as a loon... to the point of absurdity.

Was cable news always this bad and I didnt notice it as much because you get numb to it?

2. I'm avoiding that program from now on
From watching it a couple of times a week since it started, the drift I've been getting is two-fold:
1) Let's talk about Obama's mess!
2) How can McCain do better?

When Smirkonish comes to Obama's defense over and over, you know things are unbalanced.

And don't get me started on the segment called "The Viewer's Play Date With The Panelists" - where we get to email our questions. It's demeaning.

Mmy observations of the program's theme over time - It's worthless.

4. I'm not a fan of it but it is on before she is....
They have part of this show, then she does her talk show.

5. Air America really needs to rethink this simulcast thing.
It's bad enough when Rachel's actually on the show and she might get in a total of 5 minutes in that hour to refute the right wing bullshit. But when she's filling in for Keith, that means the whore media hacks get a free hour of Air America airtime (and all of the afilliates) with nobody refuting the corporatist spin.

Mark Green might think that's all well and good, but I can't even stand to listen to it. Why don't they just have Bender do the first hour of the show, then have Rachel do the other two hours, and leave the MSNBC fools out of it?

6. I want to add that, I too do not like the MSNBC simulcast.
Air America should forget it. I wish Thom Hartmann could be on all day. I like Rachel too but not that stupid MSNBC right-wing stuff. It is such an intrusion on otherwise intelligent programming. Oh, almost forgot, can't stand Lionel either. What a loser!!! If he is liberal, I'm a kangaroo.

7. Audacity...
"A free, open source software for recording and editing sounds in Linux, Mac OS X, and other operating systems."

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

I can't stand Race to the White House and I'm very disappointed in Air America's not so brilliant idea of simulcasting the show on Rachel's first hour...

I can only hope that this deal is somehow helping Rachel solidify her position with MSNBC and grooming her for a show of her own on the TV machine...

So I download my podcast of Rachel's radio show, load it into Audacity and edit off the first hour... quick, clean and easy.. takes about 10 minutes from start to finish... and no more MSNBC...!

:hi:
