US told to stop Israeli planes flying over Iraq
http://feeds.bignewsnetwork.com/index.php?sid=381870

The government in Iraq has told the US Military it will not tolerate Israel over-flying the country in an attack on Iran.

The government has asked the United States to prevent Israel from using Iraqi airspace in any possible military event.

Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari conveyed a message to the US ambassador in Baghdad, Ryan Crocker.

He said the American forces, being responsible for preserving the sovereignty of Iraq’s airspace, should not allow any violation by Israeli warplanes.

I guess that is a confirm that Israel is using Iraq airspace to do their drills
Now we will see if Iraq's president can really stop this
I think not

This is incredible madness

5. I'm forecasting a "bloodless coup" in Baghdad
Suddenly, pictures of Maliki will surface of him in bed with a dead hooker. Or a live jihadi.

2. Hmm, why no word of this on CNN.com?
Because Israel's a peaceful country, that's why. :eyes:

3. I don't feel this proves the Israelis are using Iraqi airspace.

I think it more likely that Maliki is attempting to calm his military and other muslim states after the reports of the IAF practicing an invasion of Iran in his airspace.

I'd be more inclined to look for an imminent invasion of Iran by what goes on in the new peace talks.

Just my 2 cents.

4.  Al-Malaki figured out that he can cut a deal regarding the oil
without GW. Good for him. Now he's telling Bush to get the Hell out of Iraq. I don't thing that Israel will provoke the situation. One trillion dollars and what have we got to show for it?
