$cientology protest UPDATE!

Yesterday, July 12, 2008 (11:00 a.m. local time), the kids of Anonymous held yet another of their protests against the cult of $cientology.

This month's protest focused attention on the Office of Special Affairs (OSA).

To understand why a "church" would need an "Office of Special Affairs", one must understand coersive persuasion, one of the defining characteristics of a cult:

"...{Adherents} are subject to entrapment (isolation from friends, relatives, and the mainstream culture) and their access to information is severely controlled."

It is the job of $cientology's OSA to contain information about the cult that may have slipped out by employing something called the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_Game_%28Scientology%29">Fair Game policy to silence critics of the cult.

PROTEST UPDATE

Some of the cities cut their raids short due to the heat. Others had their raids last week (I did not know this). Regardless, links to lots of pictures and videos at Encyclopedia Dramatica and Enturbulation.

Some important stuff to know: WBM and Magoo went to London for the 7/12 Spy vs. Sci raid. New York held a "flash raid" on 7/5 and Los Angeles (Hollywood) Anonymous has had some interesting confrontations with the cult members and LAPD.

2. I was driving by and saw the protest across from the San Francisco xenu compound the other day.

When I saw someone with a 'xenu' sign, I knew what was up.

Last year, some little girl emerged from their compound and tried to coax a group of us to go inside for some personality test shit or something like that. We were just standing on the corner checking out the Transamerica Pyramid.
