Bush's word while visiting Walter Reed
Jan, 17 2003

"Having been here and seeing the care that these troops get is comforting for me and Laura. We are -- should and must provide the best care for anybody who is willing to put their life in harm's way."

(Bush's visit came on the same day that the Administration announced it is immediately cutting off access to its health care system approximately 164,000 veterans )

March 19, 2004

"At Walter Reed, Bush said it also was an honor to be among the doctors and nurses "who are doing unbelievable work in helping to bring these people back, back on their feet, back into their communities."

"One of the most important things for a commander in chief is to be able to say to a loved one, 'If your son or daughter or husband or wife gets injured, you'll get the best possible care as quickly as possible,'" he said. "Every time I come to Walter Reed, it confirms that which I know, which is we're providing the very best: the best care, the best compassion."

December 23, 2006

"We owe them all we can give them, not only for when they're in harm's way, but when they come home to help them adjust if they have wounds, or help them adjust after their time in service," Bush said after visiting the wounded and presenting medals to 14 men and women in the Army, Marines and Air Force.

"It's a remarkable experience to go through the hospital," Bush said.

4. Or as Mark Twain put it
Always tell the truth and you'll never have to remember anything. Certainly doesn't apply to the criminal republican party.

6. Great work
Great work, Bigtree, in digging up these quotes. They can be used in (1)an impeachment trial, (2) history of the Bush administration, and/or the next edition of "How to Lie with a Straight Face."

13. What did he know and when did he know it.
My guess is that Junior was well aware of what was going on at Walter Reed. Someone needs to leak the memo thad told him.

14. If it's so great, he should have no problems receiving care there
Next time he needs medical attention, that is where he should be forced to go.
