Another inspirational "mom" and athlete - Olympic Weightlifter
The Torres swimming thread sparked me to post this as well.

I have known Melanie for years, and she is an inspirational lifter. Plus, she squats DEEP (friends don't let friends squat shallow)

Another mom making a run at the olympics. Note that her american record from 10 yrs ago is STILL the record. Nice autism connection as well

Note that when these were filmed, she had not yet gone to the olympic trials. She has now qualified for the 2008 team and will be in Beijing
