Limbaugh freaks out over the Libby verdict. It's hysterically funny and insane.

Arthur:

I paraphrase (pretty close to the original): "This is the best news for Republicans and conservatives there could be. All conservatives will now circle the wagons, after going dormant last fall for whatever reason. The more the Democrats and liberals gloat, the better news it is for us. They are POKING THE BEAR! They'll be SORRY!!"…read on

2. "Poking the bear"? Uh.. we been shooting at it for 6 years
while fat drug addicts carry their water. What happened Rush? Thought you weren't going to carry their water any more? I guess the willful destruction of a 20 year clandestine CIA operation, to cover someones ass is um.. patriotic.

20. Limbaugh is just like a stinking Soviet Commie apparatchik from the 70s
A lying loathsome fetid pile of hypocritical dung responsible of untold miseries with his petty lies and immorality.

:puke:

Typical Bushevik. Typical Bolshevik.

4. Has he been reading Libby's novel again?
Remember, Libby had a bear and a girl in a cage .... and they poked the bear to keep him interested in the girl?

Put the book down Rush. Your system is not used to them ... goodness knows what it might lead to next.

7. "All these different types of conservatives, I'm told"

Try, to keep up, Rush. The tide has turned. There are very, very few George W Conservatives left.

Hope you sink, soon.

10. Reminds me of the most risque line on conservative family tv in the
seventies.... From Leave it to Beaver..... "Ward, don't you think you were a little hard on the Beaver last night???".......

Edited on Tue Mar-06-07 10:12 PM by RufusTFirefly
Hate to quibble, but you must be relatively young.

"Leave it to Beaver" ran from 1957-1963.

P.S. I'm a big Arundhati fan.

22. I was guessing, but I must have watched reruns at some time
during the seventies.... perhaps.... but maybe not... and yes, Arundhati Roy is imho more articulate than most college English professors.

14. With their electoral clout these days, it's more like a toothless gerbil
But right after he said it, I thought, what are they possibly going to do that is worse than what is already happening?

15. Hey, fat ass! It's called a kick in the nuts!
By the way, Tubby, you might want to steer away from the "bear" analogy. Keep in mind that Reagan's ad campaign during his election represented The Evil Empire as a bear. It that the image you wish to convey, you dim idiot?

18. I checked out hate radio on the way home - they were freaked out.
That asshole gibson was wailing on about how Plame needed to go to jail (apparently just on his say so) and Bush needed to pardon Libby immediately. He dragged out all of the stupid shot down lies the right has been spewing since day one about this scandal, as if Libby had not been convicted of lying his ass off just hours earlier. The other hate radio stations on sirius were all just sputtering away, spinning and spuming and otherwise grasping for some explanation other than the obvious conclusion that their little house of cards was falling down. One station was going after Tweety for his latent rejection of his 'we are all neocons' posture of just a few years ago. Oh it was a sorry bunch of yakkers.

Of course the lone 'talk left' channel plays a morning repeat of Stephanie Miller on the 6-9pm slot (wtf) so that was useless, and the two NPR channels were going on about teh usual inane npr idiocy that had nothing to do with current events - ah yes one was an hour long radio essay on Toussaint Louverture - the liberator of Hati, I'm sure it was fascinating but do they ever consider reprogramming on the fly due to changing circumstances?
