Advertisers Drop from Ann Coulter’s Website on Heels of Homophobic Slur
On the heels of the homophobic slur heard round the world, at least three major companies have pulled their advertising from right-wing commentator Ann Coulter’s Web site, according to CNN.com.

Verizon, Sallie Mae and Georgia-based NetBank have each pulled advertising from her site, going so far as to say they didn’t even know their respective companies were advertising on AnnCoulter.com.

They found out, according to FOX News, when a writer for liberal blog DailyKos.com posted contact information for dozens of companies with ads on Coulter’s site after the commentator made her remarks Friday.

“One of the best ways to communicate one’s distaste for Coulter’s repeated incidents of hate speech is to respectfully but firmly let her advertisers know you are deeply troubled by their indirect support of bigotry through their advertising on Coulter’s Web site,” the blogger VolvoDrivingLiberal wrote on DailyKos.com on Sunday, CNN reported.
