1. I've been arguing with people here about it

However, the cartoons greatly illustrate my point. I've always said that the first part of the 2nd Amendment seems to be ignored and blammo, the cartoonists illustrate my point exactly.

There's no point in arguing the rightness or wrongness of laws these days- there aren't any.

5. That's the thing that gets me about the folks arguing for guns to "protect" us from the Gov't

Take a look at Iraq, folks. They have all the automatic weapons they could ask for. Doesn't do squat against Tanks, armored vehicles, helicopters and predator drones/helfire missiles. You would be dead before you got a shot off.. Just like most of the Iraqi's who have tried it. That's why remote detonated bombs are their weapon of choice.

6. Ignore them

They'll figure it out when they get nailed by one of those microwave cannons.

We're all boiled frogs. If it makes them happy to think they will provide some sort of resistance when the sweeps come, let them have their fantasies.

7. I never bought...

I never bought the whole "bitter" thing that was used to try to smear Obama.

And I never bought the whole "collectivist" interpretation of the second amendment. And I dont buy that anyone erased the first half of the second amendment, either.

Made clear that the first half doesn't mean what the "collectivists" thought it meant? Absolutely.



And now that they have, I really and truly see where the word bitter DOES apply. It sucks to be proven wrong, apparently to the point of bitterness, for some.
