Didn't take CNN and MSNBC's Tucker & Conservatives to change the Libby Trial Verdict
into a "witch hunting prosecutor, axious to find someone guilty ...so he picked on Scooter Libby because
lying to a GJ was all he could get him on. Apparently Valerie Plame was only "Classified" and not "Covert" so the penalty wouldn't have been strong enough for the law that Vicky Toensing "wrote" for GHW Bush would not have covered her "Classification" and Fitzgerald just wasted time on Scooter when he knew all along that it was Armitage who leaked her name.

Tweety keeps comparing it to the "Alger Hiss" Spy Case (most people today don't remember that case, anyway) and to the movie "A Man for All Seasons."

Pat Buchanan thinks it's "much ado about nothing" and the whole verdict and trial has been reduced to "nothing much to see here, lets move along. Toensing says the Wilson Law Suit is like a mosquito and she asks Wolfie to have her back on when she's proven correct.

It doesn't take them long to snatch victory from us and they are complacent in knowing that they no longer have to cover the story (the little that they ever bothered) and that without media attention it's over.

That's what THEY THINK. I'm hoping that the dots are starting to get connected for the Average American. In the background the lies and crookery is a low drumbeat and it won't take alot more for it to start to get so loud that even the most "tuned out" will be able to ignore it any longer.

But, those people the Bush Evil Empire are very good at what they do, aren't they? The Think Tanks and Repug Politico's have Gamed this one to perfection.

1. Then why isn't anyone buying it, sweetie?
They have under 30 percent in any poll. They can lie. They do lie. But now we know they're liars and we don't believe them.

Did you think they would stop lying just because we don't believe them? Nah.

10. Howard Dean just did a Bang Up Job on Wolfie just now as
Wolfie sneered and jeered...asking over and over "Are you calling the President and Vice President a Liar....are you saying you they lied on information about the War....Are you clear that you are calling them a Liar.

Dean kept saying "we don't know what all they've done...but we DO KNOW they've played Politics at every turn using reporters to smear people, cherry picking information that sent us into this war and now covering up how they've treated the soldiers they sent to fight in this war that had nothing to do with 9/11.

When asked by Blitzer if Dems would do a Special Prosecutor he said we will get to the bottom of this and the President better not Parden Scooter Libby because we may need him as a witness.

He also said that we Democrats WILL GET US OUT OF IRAQ! (He said it firmly and decisively and with great passion and that's why I used full caps) He said: "Democrats ran on getting us out of this war and it's what the American People want and we are going to do that."

Wolf's performance was so condescending and jeering and baiting it was disgusting. (I've watched alot of Blitzer and this was the lowest I've seen him go).

The video of the Dean segment is worth the watch if it comes up. I had to paraphrase some of it...but it was really GOOD.

17. I like Dean, but the correct answer would have been "Yes- I do believe they lied"
They are liars- every bartender, mechanic and little old lady at the bus-stop knows it for a fact.

I'm not sure why Dean was too frightened to say what everyone in the nation says around the water-cooler on a daily basis.

23. Well, remember when the DLC attacked Dean for his "We cant win in Iraq" comment?
Back when they still(?) supported Bush's war?

If you think about that incident, what Koko1 says make sense- even still, I'd prefer if Dean would disregard those creeps & say it anyway.

2. If you think Tweety is covering for Cheney or Libby you are mistaken
He is being pretty clear that this is about lying us into war and that Cheney is in the hot seat

His parellel is that the Alger Hiss trial was a perjury trial, but it was about something way bigger than perjury.

Not to mention Fucker and company talking about Dick's Xmas party
and how Scooter got a standing ovation when he attended this year's shindig. How great that Shrub and co. are so LOYAL ... Libby isn't going to lose any sleep over this one, folks (unfortunately). It's like the BFEE is giving the American people a bit MIDDLE FINGER -- "We don't care what the LAW says; this guy is ONE OF US and he's going to be PROTECTED."

I can only pray that the Democratic Congress DOES ITS JOB and picks up the ball and runs with it. Fitz will cooperate, but he needs Congress to support investigations/impeachment to get any TRUE JUSTICE for the rest of us.

6. Exactly.
And to be less cryptic for some of our fellow DU'ers, Tucker's daddy led fund raising for Scooter's defense team.

9. and apparently Tucker's STEP-mother also "birthed" him
I have looked and looked and there is NO MENTION of even the name of his birth mother. We know he was born in SAN FRANCISCO, and that his STEP MOTHER is a Swanson Foods HEIRESS, but poor widdle Tucker apparently had no "real" Mommie..

Maybe that's why he's such a twit :)

12. Has anyone ever heard Tucker qualify that his Poppy was head of Scooters fund raising
team? I don't catch him often...but I've never heard him say that. Maybe our Media should be required to have "Full Disclosure." Might be something to put back in the "Fairness Doctrine" when we get it back.

7. "because lying to a GJ was all he could get him on. "
That was all they had on Bill Clinton and they called that a high crime back then! It was enough to try and impeach a president over. What Scooter lied about was FAR WORSE than what Clinton lied about.

14. I know....it's amazing how they Cherry Pick and think they've wiped the Clinton
fiasco out of folks minds. They still play to the idiot fringe of the RW who think "personal behavior" is impeachable but not murdering thousands of Americans and Iraqi's.

Yet...the Repugs that poll well with the Fringies are folks like Rudy (Affair and Marriage to my Cousin) Giuliani. And that's all forgiven....

that the trial and conviction of Scooter Libby is reason enough for Congress to investigate the Plame scandal, as it relates to the lies that brought this nation to war. He said it on MSNBC.

16. My take on Buchanon -- He believes about 50% of what he says
the other 50% is paid regurgitation of the GOP talking points.

Better than his sister Bay -- 100% regurgitation.

to the Bennett Brother (Big DC Trial Lawyer) who defended Clinton...(his brother is "Holy Bill Bennett" the Gambling Moralist!

Anyway...I agree with what you say....and to Tweety and his Ilk...Politics is a SPORT/GAME...and ROOTING FOR YOUR TEAM and the stuff between Managers, Umpires and the rest are all just ENTERTAINMENT. :-(

Sad! But it IS what it IS....

It's FASCINATING...but have a glass of wine or beer or your MEDS nearby!

Parsing is hard with FAST TALK BY TWEETY AND GUESTS...you'll have to DEAL....:-(

24. He has Issikoff (Monica Blue Dress) and Jim Vanderhei (the anti-Truth Out Reporter)
and Tweety is speaking OVER THEM...not letting but a "few words in" but it seems even THEY have CAVED over Libby Indictment.

Could be...they can't get a word in over Tweety...or that they KNEW TWEETY would CONTROL...
