Fox News losing its lead over rival cable networks.»

Fox News “has seen its once formidable advantage over CNN erode in this presidential election year, as both CNN and MSNBC have added viewers at far more dramatic rates.” The New York Times reports:

CNN has added 170,000 viewers a night, on average, when compared with the last presidential year, while Fox has shed about 90,000, according to Nielsen. (MSNBC, which added 181,000 viewers in that audience, much of it courtesy of gains by “Countdown With Keith Olbermann,” still lagged in third place, with 303,000.)

A Fox News spokeswoman, Dana Klinghoffer, refused “several requests” for comment about the channel’s ratings and strategy.

2. All I can say is, "What took them so long?"

Fox News should have disappeared off our TV screens three months after its debut. Unfortunately, it turns out Americans were a lot dumber and easier to propagandize that I ever gave them credit for. However, going to CNN to drink their kool-aid doesn't seem like an improvement to me. Fortunately, MSNBC seems to be slowly moving away from becoming a mouthpiece for the Republican Party and the White House starting with KO. I guess they have looked to the future and seen the lame ducks.

To put them in their place. Tell them that they don't look big huffing and puffing and to just shut up and get to work. Put a choke chain on ol' Rush and give the other end to Rosie O'Donnell. Let her cut off his hot air long enough to get the facts straight.

4. This may be wishful thinking

but the way I perceive the current zeitgeist is that many if not most are fed up with being lied to for nearly 8 years and waking up and smelling the gas prices, amongst a plethora of other foul smelling odors.

I watched Larry King's tribute to George Carlin, I hadn't seen CNN in years, I couldn't get over how every other commercial they aired were for oil companies. Yes, they are just as bad as FAUX!

12. I recently watched CNN for the first time in many years

and my jaws just dropped!

The framing and the colored copy delivered by the mews readers (along with the dishonest tripe spit out by the so called "analysts") was more transparent than it it had ever been.

I'm tired of hearing more or less one side or the other. Whats ever happened to good honest objective reporting with no spin? Ya sure don't get much of it from MSM.I want to hear both sides, and make my own decision.

Declining interest in newspapers and other old media along with the advent of the internet and sites like these is the long term trend.

While FOX may be on the decline, that doesn;t necessarily mean that America is losing their taste for right-wing propaganda; it just means the propaganda has spread to other non-FOX networks.
