Cheney will resign using ill health
as the excuse. There is no way out of this. It won't help. Bushco is a wrecked vehicle.

6. Having an incumbent VP at this moment in time would be a GREAT thing...
Think about it.

Would you want to be associated with this administration from now until 2008? I sure as hell wouldn't.

The Republican party is in shambles. They are dieing of a self-inflicted wound. I'd LOVE to be able to be up against an incumbant. in this political climate.

13. But if he leaves can we don't need to replace him, right?
Weren't there several Prez's who went without for certain periods of their terms? Like Ford, Johnson, FDR to name a few?

16. The rules changed after Johnson.
A new VP would have to be appointed, as Jerry Ford was.

17. I agree
Cheney will resign by the weekend and it wouldn't surprise me to see Lieberman appointed VP so that they can wipe some of this Republican stink onto the Democrats.
