I support Obama, but I've very worried that he is too out of shape and overweight to get elected. Don't flame me for bring this up, it's a very important concern if we are going to win the general election! Low-Cholesterol voters won't vote for a man as out of shape and obese as Obama!

We must address this NOW before its too late! While there's still time to do something before the convention! Please pass this concern post on to all your friends, discussion forums and blogs you can find! We need to bring this issue to the forefront!!

risk of being accused of waffling!

5. Now that you mention it he does seem to be adding the lbs
and the last thing the founders wanted was a fat president.

13. And he's too black. No, wait - he's too white. No, wait, he's tooo
Excellent post! I love good sarcasm!

Obama is reaching out to find solutions and compromise. That means he WILL NOT always choose the "solution" you think is best.

Well, guess what? You may not be as smart as you think you are.

I know this may shock, surprise, and alienate a lot of DU'ers, but the truth often hurts. You are NOT as smart as you think you are!

It took me a long time to realize this for myself. And I'm pretty sure I'm smarter than any of you :P

Even though Obama wasn't my first choice, what I like best about his message is that it takes ALL of us, if we really want to make it work. I know, the "other side" has resorted to some pretty evil and drastic measures and it will take some time to get them to trust us enough to open a full dialogue and get them to listen....

Except, "their way" has proven to be a failure.

So, how do we react? "told you so, told you so!" like a bunch of kids? Or do we reach out and say "I'm listening, and I appreciate your concerns, and I think that TOGETHER we can work this out together." ?

As much as I would enjoy doing the "na-na" thing - I would rather fix this country. What about you? Would you rather "prove you were right" or would you rather fix things? I can tell you from experience, if you let your ego drive you - you will fail.

For the first time in a long time, this country is ready for some real change and to fulfill it's Constitutional Promise and to be the true shining Star of Democracy and the example it has been many times before. Are you going to destroy that simply because it doesn't conform to your own personal (and flawed) vision? I know you don't want to admit that your vision is "flawed", but let me ask you one question. Are you Human? Then your vision is flawed, because you are human. Accept it. That's what Progressives do. Conservatives don't - because they make excuses. "It's God's Will!" Are you no better than a fanatic Evangelic Conservative?

Let me ask you that question again, and I want you to seriously think about your motivations - are you really any better than "they" are?

Then prove it! Be willing to listen, and to compromise. To understand actions and consequences. Or else we are nothing.

Sorry about the drawing, I guess he was too fat to go down to Sears portrait studio to get his pic taken.
