What I believe is that there is more substance and hope in that one web page than in any five diatribes of how we are going to inevitably and totally collapse as a society and as a world.

I believe that, though things are pretty dire, that as long as we have optimism combined with a realistic estimation of a situation, that there is nothing that we cannot do.

I believe that as long as we have the human brain as a resource, that we will be able to use that to utilize other resources(and there are many other resources besides the ones that we know of right now).

I believe that we can do more than we are doing now and that we can do better.

I believe that nihilism rarely does anyone any good, other than providing a certain unhealthy thrill for some people.

I believe that a little pronoia and a lot of action can confound even the most entrenched evil.

I believe that of all the places I can think of that can use the sneaking feeling that people are conspiring to help you, that DU is one of the top five places.
