Can we start a "Dead Person Forum" on DU
Edited on Mon Jun-23-08 12:03 PM by NightWatcher
in order to clear out GD and since everyone feels the need to start their own "Breaking News: __________ is dead" post?

The Dead Forum could address all the latest and not so latest stories about people who have ceased to be.

Tim Russert, George Carlin, Abe Vigoda..... who's next?

On Edit: Abe Vigoda is still alove as of Monday June 23 2008 10:01:59 AM PT

3. How about if someone is simply "dead to me"? Should that have a forum, too?
It's also been suggested that we have a Dead and/or Missing White Young Chick forum.

12. The best reaction shot in television history belonged to Vigoda.
On Barney Miller, someone asked a man (played by Jack Dodson who played Howard Sprague on Andy Griffith), "How long have you been married?'

Dodson (spokenly slowly and painfully, looking off into the distance): "All my life."

Vigoda looked equally pained and simply nodded his head.

13. Jack Soo was also just hilarious on Barney Miller. When i was young and it was on
i'm sure most of the humor was lost on me but a few years ago on Thanksgiving i was sick and there was a Barney Miller marathon on and i think i watched every episode, what a great show.

16. Yep. Some excellent lines with Jack Soo:
Dietrich (Steve Landesberg) was asking Yemana (Jack Soo) about his family's origins.

Dietrich: So, what city were you born in?

Yemana (irritated): Omaha.

Dietrich (with a suppressed smile): Really? We have a city in this country with that name.

18. I'll vote for a Dead Person forum if
y'all support an "oughta be dead" forum

We get THAT one going, I'll add the first 100 names...been writing the list for some time now.

that dumb blonde on The View...what's her name?
She made the list when she couldn't say the earth was round, or something like that.

Sorta a mandatory posthumous Darwin award concept.

Sorry...I seem to be channeling Carlin at the moment.
