I saw this on a bumper sticker Sunday. It was on a small car that appeared to be a few years old.

10. I work in state government and I get it all the time

I'm in South Carolina, in the heart of "Right-To-Workistan" (mad props to the DUer who came up with that name), and I work for the state government agency that deals with anti-discrimination laws. Every day I deal with calls from people who feel they have been terminated unfairly but who aren't covered by the few legal exceptions to the at-will rule. When I tell them that there's nothing we can do for them, I often get the speech about how the government should help them out - usually from the very white working class who shrink from anything "socialist" like Dracula from a crucifix.
