Bush: "My decisions have put our kids in harm’s way"

http://newsblogs.chicagotribune.com/news_theswamp/2007/03/bush_what_happe.html#more

<snip>

"My decisions have put our kids in harm’s way, and I am concerned about the fact that when they come back they don’t get the treatment they deserve,'' Bush told the legionnaires. "It’s unacceptable to you, it’s unacceptable to me, it’s unacceptable to our country… and it’s not going to continue.’’

And it didnt take long for Bush to launch into a full-bore defense of the military mission in Iraq.

"Sept. 11 was not only a crime, but an act of war,’’ he said to applause in the Renaissance Hotel convention hall. It is, he said, “a war waged by fanatics who believe it is their duty to kill Americans… Since 9/11, they have tried to attack us here at home... They are relentless and they are determined..

Instead of waiting for terrorists to strike again, he said, "we will fight the enemy on their terms.’’

"Sometimes we lose sight of the importance of this work in the face of heated debates,’’ he said. "The extremists are fighting to take control of Iraq, so they can establish it as a base from which to overthrow moderate regimes and plan new attacks on the American people.

“If we fail in Iraq, the enemy will follow us home,'' Bush said to more applause. "That is why America must prevail in Iraq.’’

bush will go and lie the rest of his natural fucking life. Iraq didn't have a goddamn thing to do with 9/11 but that doesn't stop the lying asshole from bringing it up everytime they stick out there for show.

Like he really made the "decisions". bush may call himself the decider but everyone knows that it's cheney and rove that make the calls..bush is just a goddamn puppet and that goes for his walking zombie wife, mrs chimp.

5. Once AGAIN, Bush speaks the truth about HIMSELF:
Edited on Tue Mar-06-07 12:59 PM by WinkyDink
"The extremists are fighting to take control of Iraq, so they can establish it as a base from which to overthrow moderate regimes and plan new attacks on the American people."

And the PROOF, psychologically, is how easily Bush speaks these words, as opposed to his proverbially tortured syntax when speaking of non-violent issues of any kind. Words flow when you speak true.

7. "Fight the enemy on their terms"? WTF does that mean?
That's why we torture?
That's why we ignore borders and soveirnty?
That's why we respect no law?

What does that make us?
How does one distinguish between right and wrong?
The ends justify the means?

Wow. A lot becomes clearer with that statement. This isn't about defending a principle or "our way of life". It is revenge, it is an opportunity, and no tactic or strategy is off limits since their is no principle involved.

9. "Our kids"? "OUR kids?!!!
His kids are perfectly safe. What he should have said was, "My decisions have put YOUR kids in harm's way."
