Unless Libby has something on him or Cheney
I don't see a pardon coming in the near future, besides it's already been established that Libby is a lier, so he has no credibility!!!!

4. MU GUESS is that Shrub will pardon Libby on his last day in office.
I don't think he wants to take another hit right now!

And while you're at it, enjoy this video while you celebrate Libby's conviction:

with exposure of the White House coverup.

13. Seriously.
It always amazes me when it's a case where, like, normal people who aren't on DU haven't even HEARD THE NEWS YET, and someone here is already saying, "While you all are celebrating like you don't have a care in the world, WE'RE STILL DOOMED because X, Y, and Z." It's like, damn dude, give me 5 minutes to be happy before you bash me over the head with the next thing, wouldya?

16. 'like normal people who aren't on DU'...
 excuse me for interjecting a realistic scenario.

If you don't want a dose of reality so you can enjoy yourself longer I suggest you stay off of DU.

19. Yes, you're right.
I'll walk around being MILITANTLY SERIOUS 24 hours a day, seven days a week. I will never let my guard down and celebrate anything, EVER, because there's something else I should be really upset about. Thanks for setting me straight! Do you have a gun I could borrow, because I'm thinking about just blowing my head right off...

I just bitch about the defeatist attitude and leave it at that... cause that's all it is.

14. They'll do it if it'll keep them in power longer...
pardoning libby might help protect Darth Cheney and the rest of the regime.

Pretty damn cheery. :)

17. Not really my point.
Give us two seconds to celebrate before the gloom and doom threads, would you? It's so rare that we've had ANYTHING to be freaking happy about since 2000, excepting the midterms, that it seems counterproductive and almost trollish to post an "It Doesn't Mean Anything Anyway" thread literally one minute after the news came out.

Whether or not he will be pardoned is not what I'm debating.

20. Maybe you shouldn't have read the thread....
if you wanted to keep being happy. I was pretty clear in the subject line.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy as hell Libby got the hammer. I'll be grinning like an idiot for a week. I also know there is a chance that Libby will get pardoned. Just think how bad things would get for both bush and cheney if Libby was pardoned.

18. Reporter: "Are you willing to go to prison to protect Vice Prez. Cheney?"
sounded like David Shuester.
