*snip*

doc paints unflattering portrait of michael moore

The Toronto-based documentary filmmakers Rick Caine and Debbie Melnyk started out in the first camp. But during the course of making an unauthorized film about Moore, they wound up somewhere in between. In the process, their experience has added a twist to the long-running story of an abrasive social critic who has frequently been criticized from the right, but far less often, as is the case with Melnyk and Caine, from his own end of the political spectrum.

1. I have mixed feelings about Moore as well. But, you can't deny his brilliance.
Should be interesting to see his response.

2. Filmmaking is not journalism.
Michael Moore is a filmmaker who seeks to start a conversation about a subject the journalists are ignoring. His goal is to tell a story, shed light on the subject etc. I'll grant you the state of journalism is so bad in this country now that people no longer understand the difference between story telling and journalism, but that is hardly Michael Moore's fault.

3. If only we could have similar articles/documentaries on Coulter
But, then, there's that liberal media bias, I suppose.
