What's the deal with Rep. Hastings calling the US Atty's office

What's the deal with Rep. Hastings calling the US Atty's office
right after the Nov. elections and inquiring about investigations into voter fraud in the Gov. race there? Hastings is a Dem isn't he? The Gov. who won (very narrowly) is also a Dem.

I don't understand!

1. Congresscritters of ANY stripe should refrain from contacting
US Attorneys regarding cases for any reason due to the appearance of impropriety.

Hastings' contact in this case. It looks like something dirty was going on in the election and he was checkking to make sure it wasn't discovered!

I hope I'm just too damn suspicious, but I sure would HATE for the Dems to get wrapped up in this mess!

2. 'Doc' Hastings is full-fledged fascist Repuglicker - Eastern Washington
The Tri-Cities ("Dry Shitties") is part of his district, including the Hanford site.
