Bet ya Petco is out of business soon!
Federal marshals raided their warehouses and found dead rodents & droppings all around the pet food stored there! From what I can see, Petco hasn't been doing all that well, at least around here in north Ga. compared to Petsmart and other competitors. This kind of publicity is going to put them put of their misery.

2. Hope not. We just had one open near us (well, within 40 miles, that's close by for me)--
it's a nice store, well-cared-for animals--and as I've got 2 dogs, 3 cats and a bird, I was thrilled when they opened. (Got my cockatiel at a Petco, she's a sweetie). I couldn't care less if some mice got into a warehouse--you'll probably find mice in every warehouse, and it's not like I'm going to eat the food, and my cats would rather EAT the rodents anyway than their cat food. Good experiences with Petco, hope they do well.

3. Well I can tell ya as someone that works there part time
They are more in love with the almighty corporate $ than they care about the animals or the people that work for them.

I'd like to say that the people I work with do really love and care about the animals and we do the best we can but our hours have been cut by half and yet they still expect the same amount of work to get done and the same level of animal care in that amount of time. It's impossible.

And I HATE their piped in self promotion... "at petco animals always come first" Every time I hear that I say, BULLSHIT!" The part about that I do LOVE is when my boss tries to divert me to something else I say to her I can't because after all at petco animals always come first, right? She hates that and what can she say:evilgrin:

I do have another part time job that hopefully works into more full time and the reason I have stayed at petco so long is because of the animals. They really need those of us that care:hug:

4. They're notorious for neglecting the hamsters and other animals they sell.
So I'm not shocked about this- it's pretty mild by comparison.

5. Not to worry, Fitz will get 'em.
There were no known public health risks posed by the pet food and no incidents of human or animal illness have been traced to the products, U.S. Attorney Patrick J. Fitzgerald and other officials said in a statement issued by his office.

I can hear his boss:

"Fitz, you did such a good job nailing Rove, we want you to investigate some bird shit."
