From the Declaration of Independence, part of the reasons behind the war

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

Now you know why they felt compelled. I wonder if we are made from similar timber, or will just stand by...

And yes, I now FULLY know how Germans who were awake, felt in 1938

1. I was just watching John Adams
I am sickened by the path we are on and its a disgrace to all those who fought to make this a great nation. How can a few pathetic slimeballs be allowed to destroy it all.

Wars where a Certain Colonel Washington served under the Crown

But we still need to realize things need to happen

The election in November may be that revolution, but somehow, at this point I doubt it, and I hope I ma wrong

3. You know, the language they chose was their own undoing
They may have failed to give anyone but rich white men the right to vote, but they gave everyone the dream of voting.

4. Which may be part of the plan
they were men of the Enlightenment who believed in Progress

It was a common thread of the movement, whether in France, England the Colonies, or New Spain (Mexico)

We may have to revise that thinking, but you get the picture
