OUR FREEDOMS AND THE RULE OF LAW ARE NON-NEGOTIABLE !!
God knows we support education benefits for our troops. And we know our unemployed need an extension on their benefits. We know those are important issues. However, they are not important enough to make a deal, or a "compromise" with the White House and the Republicans to not hold accountable those that have spied on American citizens illegally and are now looking to be part of a deal. It doesn't work that way. Our rights and our freedoms are not to be used as a negotiating tool. I hope the House and the Senate will recognize that cold hard fact.

1. The problem is, Congress won't act on that recognition or on our
behalf. I'm getting used to that, sadly.

4. You are correct.
It is not about immunity for the telecoms - it is about immunity for George W Bush and the other criminals that broke our laws and international laws.

7. Cold hard facts...
seldom surface in the house of smoke and mirrors
that our government has become.

What can we do about it?
We have no representation, so nothing I guess.

Figure out how to survive it is the best-case scenario I see.

8. I understand the dilemma...
And this is a dangerous state of mind for citizens like yourself to sink into.

9. Why is it dangerous to understand that we have lost the country?
There is no America-
there is no "national interest."

There is only the most insidious amassing of power
into the fewest of hands in the history of the world.

These people don't recognize borders, laws or anything
but their OWN interests.

Face it-
We lost.
It aint never coming back.

11. Because it may contagious...
And there may be many that do not realize what has been lost? Once they find out, they may not be so accepting?
