We have no impeachment on the table (since we should not hurt our precious minds with this Constitution stuff)

The war goes on as if nothing happened....

We have torture hearings, but the next obvious step... impeachment, is not taken... but hey we held some hearings!

Tell me folks, now that the fourth Amendment is for all intents and purposes dead, and we only have the Great Writ back by the grace of five justices, what has actually changed and who is holding who's feet to the fire?

Oh wait, but you can vote in November!!!!!!!!!

Whoopy doo, one marker of a fascist state are fully manipulated "open and free" elections

Here are the fourteen symptoms of an openly fascist state

http://www.operationawareness.com/whats_new_10.html

And then you tell me where we are ok...

Oh and yes, that Constitution thingy, is a damn fucking piece of paper! That is what they are telling you in an open way, and daring you to do something about it. Hey, they are counting on you NOT doing a thing!

So exactly what changed in 2006?

And for those who are loyal foot soldiers, well this is not a fucking sport... and you are not that different from the "other side" who also sees this as my team is winning or not...

It's a neverending cycle.

but here is the part people miss, we are doomed as long as we collectively choose to go along to get along

There are actions we can take.. but so far refuse to, as a people I mean

21. Sigh.
Look, I'm as frustrated as you. But screaming at the liberals most involved in trying to change things that everything is wrong and only you realize it isn't productive, and is quite insulting. We all see it. Your vision isn't better than anyone else's here. We all know the problems. We are busy looking for the solutions. If you've got some of them, let us know. If you just want to insult everyone, you're hurting, not helping.

protect the Constitution?

And yes LIBERALS are trying, see Kucinich... but tell me exactly when is the LEADERSHIP, who promised accountability... ACTING on this?

I can read thank you and the BLUE DOG, DLC branch of the party IS driving policy

The Progressives\ Liberals, have little say, or did you miss the bill the HOUSE is about to pass... giving essentially a pass to the Telecoms?

And until that changes I will hold them ACCOUNTABLE!

Sight indeed

34. Another sigh.
Politics happens every second of the day, not just in election years, and you never win by waving a magic wand to make the other side vanish, and you never, ever, ever, just fix everything once and for all. It's a continuous process, where you do what you can with what you've got, try to get more, and try to steer things in the right direction. Picture a car, where everyone is pushing it in the direction they want it to go, from 360 degrees. The car goes nowhere. If one side stops pushing and starts screaming, they lose ground. The only way to move the car in the direction you want to go is to get others who are pushing in roughly the same direction as you to compromise, work together, and get the car moving that way while the other side is still fighting each other. Then, when you've progressed a ways, you can resume the fight to determine the next step.

Screaming isn't liberal, it's petulant.

12. "Oh wait, but you can vote in November!" I'd be willing to wager ...
... that 90% of DUers with a Dem representing them in Congress either didn't vote in their primary, voted for their incumbant Democrat, or their Dem incumbant was running unopposed. They missed their opportunity to make a real change.

We have known for 7 solid years that the Dems in Congress have done nothing to stem the tide of power grabbing and illegal activities by the Bush administration. But, we won't vote them out.

We always get the government we deserve.
