It's time to take down the right wing ideology
Two points:

1. It has been shown that people approve of the Democratic Party when it shows a little backbone

2. The word "liberal" has been smeared by right wing conservatives

So, I think it is time to strike back with those two points at the same time, and to hit them with a new label, it is time to be Anti-Conservative.

This isn't to be against moderate conservatives, conservatives who don't simply oppose something because a liberal supports it, no, to be Anti-Conservative is to oppose the Ann Coulter-Rush Limbaugh-Freeper right wing.

To be Anti-Conservative is to find evidence that these right wingers bear at least partial responsibility for our wars today, for arming and training the terrorists we fight today, for destroying America's image, for denying the American People the same safety nets that people in every other modernized country have, and other things as well, and then the Anti-Conservative will share that evidence with as many people as possible.

To be Anti-Conservative is to find ways to fight the right wing; ideologically, financially, politically, legally, etc.

Anti-Conservatives are needed by this country to fight back against the right wingers who have exploited and harmed it so much.

1. I totally agree with the sentiment
Not sure about the label - seems like it would open us up to the criticism that we are just motivated negatively.

Then again, I don't know that i have any better ideas. Certainly if the term liberal could be redeemed that would be better. But I don't know if it can.

IF we are taking on Ann Coulter, maybe we can go with "Anti Insanity."

2. Conservative is synonymous with Incompetent
And the last 8 years have proved beyond any doubt that conservatives are true world-class fuckups...
ESPECIALLY when it comes to fiscal responsibility and national security.

4. ...synonymous with authoritarianism
The real kicker is how a prevalent right has culturally conditioned the collective consciousness to the extent that many dems lean rightward as opposed to leftward on many dire issues.

HUGE problem, as fundies clearly want greater numbers of "hearts and minds" on the same page when it comes to the fundamentals of groupthink/jingoism: argue all you want over health care or immigration, but SUPPORT THE TROOPS {war}, by god, above all else.

From there it's merely a few steps away from it's not that we shouldn't have invaded, it's just that Bush botched it due to "incompetence."

The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism (Paperback)
by Naomi Klein (Author) Price: $10.88

snip"..., but for Klein the larger lessons are clear: “Countries are shocked — by wars, terror attacks, coups d’état and natural disasters.” Then “they are shocked again — by corporations and politicians who exploit the fear and disorientation of this first shock to push through economic shock therapy.” People who “dare to resist” are shocked for a third time, “by police, soldiers and prison interrogators.”

In another introductory chapter, Klein offers an account of Milton Friedman — she calls him “the other doctor shock” — and his battle for the hearts and minds of Latin American economists and economies. In the 1950s, as Cameron was conducting his experiments, the Chicago School was developing the ideas that would eclipse the theories of Raul Prebisch, an advocate of what today would be called the third way, and of other economists fashionable in Latin America at the time. She quotes the Chilean economist Orlando Steelier on the “inner harmony” between the terror of the Pinochet regime and its free-market policies. Letelier said that Milton Friedman shared responsibility for the regime’s crimes, rejecting his argument that he was only offering “technical” advice. Letelier was killed in 1976 by a car bomb planted in Washington by Pinochet’s secret police. For Klein, he was another victim of the “Chicago Boys” who wanted to impose free-market capitalism on the region. “In the Southern Cone, where contemporary capitalism was born, the ‘war on terror’ was a war against all obstacles to the new order,”...snip

3. I've been using the term GOP.
If conservatives don't want to be associated with that party, they can without losing the "conservative" label.

10. It is hard to get support from a majority when you are anti- anything.
We need to be Pro-whatever. We need to be completely positive and uplifting. People need to feel things will get better. When you proclaim yourself as anti then you infer there will be conflict. Be Pro Constitution and Pro Liberal Government which as the Republicans love to say had control of America for over forty years and you know what America was kept safe and sound during those forty years and it also prospered and became a beacon of light and hope for the rest of the world. Under conservative rule that all has changed. We have become a debtor nation that is despised throughout the world and an attack was allowed to happen on our very soil through careless disregard.
