Bush anticipates "another disaster this year"
Edited on Thu Jun-19-08 02:36 AM by orleans
and if he's anticipating it, i get the feeling it could be fucking scary. (what does he have in mind?)

"We've got what we called a Disaster Relief Fund. There's enough money in that fund to take care of this disaster. But what we're concerned about is future disasters this year. And therefore, we're going to work with the Congress. Jim Nussle is going to go up to work with Congress to get enough money in the upcoming supplemental to make sure that fund is -- has got enough money to deal with a potential disaster, another disaster this year."

1. He can't pronounce or spell "misappropriation" so they've parsed it down for him.
I wonder how many billions his little slush fund will require.

3. I think Bush has been watching a little too much Daily Show.
He's starting to speak exactly like John Stewart's parody of him.

Too bad he was too slow on the draw to cash in on
the Mississippi floods

5. The "disaster" I'm worried about is
McCain stealing the election. Honorable mention goes to the SCOTUS getting even more conservative.

8. Hmm, when an irresponsible idiot starts saying that
we should not touch that money until we are in a real emergency, I start thinking the money isn't there anymore.

10. I bet it will correspond with one of their trials...
...or hearings.

These guys are so predictable.

I hate that the GOP-controlled media have manipulated so many of their sheep.

I hate stupid people.

11. Oh shit, he let that slip. I wonder what they have planned for us. I mean we KNOW an October
Edited on Thu Jun-19-08 06:25 AM by tom_paine
Surprise is coming about a week or less before the "election", unless it is something STRONGER the Bushies have planned for us, like a nuclear 9/11. We KNOW it will be fear-inducing and highly shocking to the nervous sytem, liek in 2004 when the Bushies released their Two Volume Bush-Bin Laden Campaign Tape Set, one of bin Laden, the other of the "Amerian al-Qaeda"

The Rules of Bushie-Nazi Propganada say that the October Surprise (or any other staged propaganda event designed for short-term effects) MUST be close enough to the "election" to cloud people's minds, so that it is stil effective when it comes time to "vote".

If the Bushies had run their tapes in September, the fear would have worn off and not been effective propaganda at all, so the Bush-Bin Laden tapes HAD to be released three days before the "election".

If the Bushies opt to attack us with something stronger this year, nuking Iran or the Bushies hitting us again like they did on 9/11, but with nukes or chemicals, those things are so much more psychologically powerful and fear-inducing they have a longer "shelf-life" so I think if the Bushies are going to nuke Iran or "9/11" us again, it can be done anytime after September. Andy Card saud, after all, that Bushies don't "roll out new products" in August.

But it will be interesting, and I think this Bushie quote IS, in fact, him letting slip (as he so often does) the plans he overheard in meetings. I have no doubt the Bushies have some disasters planned for us, and it may be more than just a single October Surprise.

After all, the Bush-Bin Laden Tapes were TWO, so it wouldn't surprise me if the Bushies have a series of triphammer blows prepared for us.

Details are impossible to predict, but there WILL be a Bushie-staged October Surprise this fall.

Make book on it.

19. Statistically speaking, he's right
It's quite probable there will be another disaster this year. We still have hurricane season to go though, after all.

If only he had had this much foresight in re Katrina or 9-11.
