7. This is such a wonderful event.

I know the road to beat the republican-hate machine come this November when they attempt to insert hate into the California Constitution, however, they won't have the support of their governor, as Schwartzen-idiot says he will not be backing any such thing (apparently Maria has done some working on him... lord knows he needed it, he is such a dim-bulb.)

My comment to acquaintances who says they are against LGBT rights is basically this: It is a civil rights issue. If you're against gay equality, are you for people returning to the back of the bus? Civil rights are civil rights. It is a civil rights issue, period. I've said this to some acquaintances and it has made a difference, as they were surprised to see it from this point of view. Don't yell it. Don't scream it. Simply say it and it makes a difference.

I dunno. Maybe this approache wouldn't work with strangers and very angry people, but with people you know who are generally reasonable and fair people, it has worked for me.
