I cannot find it on the websites of CNN, Washingtonpost, NYTimes. Foxnews mentions that marines were killed by a bomb but says nothing of escaped prisoners.

Is this really such a non-issue? 1000 inmates. ONE THOUSAND friggin inmates! Doesn't anyone besides me think that this is a story worth reporting??

2. Closer to 1500 and most of them probably innocent.
The justice system in Afghanistan has more to do with who sells you than about how guilty you may be.

4. it was on the news on friday- and they claimed it was 1400- not 1000
not a long segment, but on none the less.

We only get fuzzy antenna abc/cbs/nbc- not sure which had it.

6. Brian Williams was in Afghanistan on Friday & NBC Nightly News said nothing...
not one second of his report touched on his "location".

5. On TV, if it's not Tim Russert, it doesn't matter.
Another terrorist attack could happen, and they wouldn't break from their masturbatory coverage of Russert's untimely death.
