A BUZZFLASH GUEST CONTRIBUTION

By One Citizen

I'm sure by now most of your readers know about Fox News' "fist bump" and his "baby mama" crapola. (Not to mention Liz Trotta laughing off the potential assassination of Barack Obama.)

x

But here's a bit more background of which (from FAIR), which many of your readers may not be aware:

Fox's founder and president, Roger Ailes, was for decades one of the savviest and most pugnacious Republican political operatives in Washington, a veteran of the Nixon and Reagan campaigns. Ailes is most famous for his role in crafting the elder Bush's media strategy in the bruising 1988 presidential race. With Ailes' help, Bush turned a double-digit deficit in the polls into a resounding win by targeting the GOP's base of white male voters in the South and West, using red-meat themes like Michael Dukakis' "card-carrying" membership in the ACLU, his laissez-faire attitude toward flag-burning, his alleged indifference to the pledge of allegiance--and, of course, paroled felon Willie Horton.

2. Finally?
I fail to see how this sort of thing is any different than their standard operating procedure from day one. They've always been a right-wing propaganda organ, and race-baiting has always been part of their strategy.

3. No Suprise Here...Just Why Feed The Beast?
Faux, along with hate radio, have been conducting a whisper campaign against Senator Obama from the outset...starting small and now getting into full-fledged racist mode. It's, of course, not direct but done through surrogates or "slips of the tongue" or some other gimmick. Bottom line is: "be scared of the black man". It's the only trick these goons have...not just the usual character assasination, but a good case of racial hate as well. You can see them salivating...hiding their racism in "concern"...attempting to downplay this game by saying they have "legitimate questions".

Yep, it's gonna be ugly...that's what you get when you trap a wild animal. The GOOP is so void of any ideas that the only way for them to have a chance is to play every fear and race card they can find...and Ailes will do his best to provide a vehicle for that to happen.
