Isn't it ironic that, once again, Timmeh is distracting us from the real news?
A new Katrina in the Midwest, Moqtada al Sadr announces a the formation of a brand-new anti-occupation force and Cheney is lying about oil again. And all we're talking about is another dead celebrity.

Nice one, Timmeh. :toast:

2. Most of the distracted individuals appear to be on DU and watching MSNBC
Why not change the channel to CNN or local stations. It seems to many people on DU are easily distracted.

13. Agreed
The outrage level at MSNBC's honoring of one of their own seems odd when you consider that there are lots of other news outlets.

3. Yes, he planned his death to be a "distraction".

I was wondering when someone would have nerve to call him "Timmeh"!

Well played! :toast:

First I was going to blame Hillary, but I figured that Timmeh could handle one little death all by himself.

And, yeah, I'm gonna call him Timmeh. The dude worked his plump little ass off to give us George W. Bush as president. Why don't you ask one of the 4100 dead soldiers' families if they give a fuck what I call him.

8. I'm not implying that at all. I'm implying that you seem to care more about a dead Repug hack.

6. David Swanson asked just the other day that Kucinich get on Russert's show
Meet the Press and talk abt his articles of impeachment.

And Russert's reaction? He ups and DIES!!

That is the length that the M$M will go to in order to avoid talking about the TRUTH!!

12. Ironic?
Thanks for the update upon what Corporate TV Media still considers important.

Perhaps one sub-root of the problem is the excess money available to corporations from both advertising sales (TV commercials) AND subscription fees to watch the advertising supported TV, instead of just one or the other.

$$$ $$$ $$$ $$$ $$$ $$$ $$$ $$$ $$$ $$$ $$$ $$$ $$$ $$$ $$$ $$$ $$$ $$$ $$$ $$$ $$$

I stopped my TV subscriptions awhile back, and only watch freely supplied satellite TV and their commercial advertising now. It was a pain to setup though....
