interrupted him! He was furious at her impertinence. The next day, the State Department lodged a formal protest with Coleman's employer, saying she'd never be allowed back. But Coleman acted on behalf of intelligent listeners when she stopped him from filibustering.

Every movie would get a rave review, or only tepid criticism at worst. Think of some of the stinkers you've seen because you didn't read the reviews. Celebrity journalists are like movie critics, but they depend on the good will of thin-skinned politicians.
If television journalists were to stop pandering to politicians, we might get straight answers from the people who lead our government. But celebrity journalists would have to stop being celebrities and go back to being journalists. I don't see it happening any time soon.
