Monica Crowley makes me ill.
She's on McLaughlin Group, again, and she makes me heave. She's all about anything rethug, and she's good at trashing Dems. It's all about Obama's lack of judgment tonight, but no word about Mcsame's. :grr:

We have Eleanor Clift against Crowley, Buchanan, McLaughlin, and the newbie, Michelle (?) Bernard.
Clift is defending well.

1. She is Richard Nixon's main apologist.

2. Ugh. She's unreal. How freakin' old is she to be Nixon's apologist?
She thinks GITMO decision made by SCOTUS was horrific, and she's horrified. So is Buchanan. When Clift asked about habeas corpus, not directly addressed. :eyes:

3. I believe she was his biographer in his last years of life
She was fairly young back then, but just as delusional.

14. wow - at your link
"Her sister, Dr. Jocelyn Crowley, is married to Hannity's co-host, Alan Colmes."

That explains a lot.

7. Those two are hate mongerers, not political commentators
Not even in the same playing field.

8. McLaughlin Group usually tries to offer a balance, your examples don't.
Why are you so familiar with them?

10. Your OP was a reaction to Monica Crawley, not McLaughlin Group.
Or so I thought.

It is a reaction I share with you, btw. An apologist at best and outright propagandist at worst for unwelcome (by me) points of view.

So are the other two I mentioned.

6. If you're watching The McLaughlin Group,
you're getting what you deserve.

That show is pure trash. Not worth your time.

16. Watch what you want
Where did you get the idea I was "telling you what to watch"? Your reading comprehension is as bad as your taste in TV shows.

11. When she first started showing up on that show ....
she wasn't so blatant ..... now she is over the top FOX NEWS worthy. Makes me miss that toad Tony Blankly.

12. She sounds like horseface's sister, so that right there is enough for
viewers to turn her off. I can't stand to listen to her drone on and on.

13. Interesting... McLaughlin is exploiting MSNBC's pundits pool...
Pat Buchanan... MSNBC
Monica Crowley ... formerly MSNBC (remember her show with Ron Reagan?)
Michele Bernard.... MNSBC

The only non-MSNBC person person (besides McLaughlin himself) is Eleanor Cliff... but she's associated with MSNBC.Com through their association with Newsweek, so her columns show up on MSNBC.Com

Interesting...

15. Michelle Bernard
One of my favorites.

From the wiki entry for the Independent Women's Forum .........

"Origin and history

Founded by Rosalie (Ricky) Gaull Silberman, <16><17> Anita Blair, and Barbara Olson<18> in 1992, the IWF grew out of the ad hoc group, "Women for Judge Thomas," that was created to defend Clarence Thomas against allegations of sexual harassment and other improprieties. By 1996 the organization had some 700 dues-paying members who met regularly at luncheons to network and share ideas.<19>

Since Silberman, presidents of IWF have included Nancy M. Pfotenhauer and Anita Blair. The current president and CEO of the organization is Michelle D. Bernard, who assumed the role in January 2006. Before joining the IWF, Bernard, who holds a juris doctor from Georgetown University Law Center, served in the executive office of the 2000 Bush-Cheney Presidential Inaugural Committee and as a partner at the Washington, D.C. law office of Patton Boggs, LLP.<20>

The IWF has been described as "a virtual 'Who's Who' of Washington's Republican establishment".<19> People for the American Way, which is critical of the organization, describes IWF as "a secular counterpart to Religious Right women’s groups like Eagle Forum and Concerned Women for America...." As a secular organization, IWF takes no official position on abortion or same-sex marriage.<21> In October 2003, the IWF announced an affiliation with Citizens for a Sound Economy, now Americans For Prosperity, with whom it shares its premises."

For all this, she ***sounds*** like she's pro Obama.

I doubt her sincerity.
